This year there will be a summer camp at our parish for the children and youth in this community. The mission statement for this camp is centered in leading young people to Christ by following the examples and teachings of St. John Bosco, modelling his preventive system based on reason, religion, and loving kindness. We want to create a sense of community and family, where we are all loved by God and each other. This will be a wonderful week of catechesis, prayer, activities, and games. There will special guests dropping by to share their talents of cooking, baking, dancing, crafts and much more.
DATES: Monday – Friday, July 11 to 15 and Monday – Friday, August 8 to 12 starting at 9:00 am – 3:00 pm with early drop off time of 8:30 am.
Lunch and snacks will be provided. AGE GROUP: cost for 6 – 11-year-old is $10 and cost for 12 – 17-year-old is $20.
How can you get involved? Looking for high school students, parent volunteers, seniors to accompany the children. A meeting was held last week with a number of volunteers to plan and organize this year’s summer camp. There was lots of enthusiasm and good ideas expressed in moving forward in this initial stage. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 14 at 6:30 pm. As our mission statement is centered on love and family, this is an invitation to you as our parish family to share your talent with these children for a couple of hours at camp. It does take a village to help raise a child. Simply contact the parish https://www.boscoparish.com or call 780 478 0198 to ask how you can get involved.
